One of our case studies has been published on epiteszforum.hu which is the most visited online forum for Hungarian architects. Zsuzsa Szalay and György Gröller from LCA Center Hungary examine ten different "Kádár cube" renovation scenarios using life-cycle assessment. The so called "Kádár cube" is a very common type of detached house in Hungary built between in the 1950's-1960's. The aim of their study is to demonstrate the environmental benefits of renovating a house of this type. In their analysis, they take into account not only energy consumption and CO2 emissions, but also the entire life cycle of the built-in materials. You can read the article here (only in Hungarian).
