Introduction

This web page is developed by LCA Center Association during ERASMUS+ „Spreed of Innovation Solution on Sustainable Construction” project. Most people have very limited knowledge of environmental impacts and their causes. The project would like to fill this gap by means of online and offline education materials. These should be easy to use and understand to improve users’ background knowledge and environmental awareness. The content will include easy-to-read concept descriptions, practical examples for non-experts, suggestions, best practices and even potential cost-saving solutions.

Project coordinator: LCA Center (www.lcacenter.hu). The LCA Center - Hungarian Association of Life Cycle Analysts was established in 2008 as a result of an ECOP project. The aim of LCA Center is working in the field of environmental protection is to introduce life cycle analysis, spread and further develop the working method, and promote the environmentally conscious way of thinking. Various case studies, project results and the development of domestic data systems are also important in their operation. The Association is a non-profit NGO organisation it has 10 private persons and 8 institutional members, Institutes/Departments of Universities and other non-profit organisation and ltd. The activities of the Association are mainly carried out through the members' research activities because they have more decades experiences on the following topics: research and development in life cycle assessment, energy management and energetics, enterprise and administrative LCA application, waste management and innovation, circular economy, sustainability and construction sector.

One Click LCA Ltd (oneclicklca.com), formerly Bionova Ltd., is the developer of the cloud software One Click LCA, which is specializing in construction life-cycle metrics and circular economy. The software is used in projects in 100+ countries and supports 40+ rating/certification systems and standards. One Click LCA Ltd employs 50 paid full time staff and typically around 2 trainees at any given time. One Click LCA works on building LCA worldwide, creating awareness and skills for builders and project teams to allow reducing carbon in their construction projects. One Click LCA has entered a partnership with Magyar Környezettudatos Építés Egyesülete (Hungary Green Building Council) in 2018, and the specific objectives of that partnership include awareness development and training for the Hungarian participants.

Ecoinnovazione srl, Italy (https://www.ecoinnovazione.it) – Ecoinnovazione s.r.l is a consultancy firm, set up as an ENEA spin-off (the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development). Ecoinnovazione offers customized solutions based on cutting-edge methods, the highest scientific knowledge and continuous relations with European and Italian Policy makers, to leading enterprises and Public Authorities for the assessment and communication of the environmental impacts and socio-economic values of products, organisations and territory.

ÉMI NLlc- (www.emi.hu) - ÉMI Non-Profit Llc for Quality Control and Innovation in Building (ÉMI) is Hungary’s largest complex institute in construction and building materials industry with more than 200 employees. EMI is an umbrella organisation covers all field of construction sector. It’s activities are issuing technical approvals and assessments, testing, inspection, expertise, research and development, certification and trainings for professionals from blue collar workers to engineers and inspectors.
